Float & Board Tank Gauge- 'FBG'

It is an accurate, reliable & trouble free float operated technique used in large non- pressurized storage tanks.

 

Construction & Operation

1)Guided x Direct Indication(Fig.1overleaf)It consists of a float connected to a pointer through a rope via a set of pulleys. The pointer glides over a calibrated gauge board, positioned parallel to the tank. The float accurately follows liquid level variations in vertical direction. The horizontal float movement is restricted by two guide wires firmly anchored to tank bottom. As such, the pointer is in 'Top Position' when tank is 'Empty' and in 'Bottom Position' when 'FULL'.

Features

Construction & Operation

• It consists of a float, tied to a SS wire rope, other side of which is wound on a drum carrying constant torque spring, to maintain the rope under continuous tension. Due to change in liquid level the float rises or falls and rotates the drum. This motion is transmitted thru gear mechanism to a pointer moving over a calibrated dial to display level in meters, Digital / Analogue output can also be provided for Switching & Transmitting as an option.

Mini Tubular Level Gauge - 'MTTG':

It is an economical, rugged, compact and reliable gauge for visual indication of liquid levels in small tanks. Consists of a toughened borosilicate gauge glass tube is fitted between two metallic end blocks thro` gland packing system. Guards are provided in the form of two steel plates located on the end blocks to provide protection from accidental blows. Transparent Tubular Level Gauge - ''TTG''

Simple low cost and reliable for direct reading of clean liquid levels at low pressure & temperature conditions.

 

Construction & Operation
Gauge is fitted between two end blocks through gland packings. The gauge is mounted parallel to tank so as to form a close loop causing tank liquid to seek its level in the gauge. Guards are provided in the form of tie-rods / c-channels around the gauge to protect it from accidental blows. End blocks have built-in isolating valve, drain valve & vent plug.
